Restoration of enamel anti-wear properties via remineralization: Role of occlusal loading

Abstract In this in vitro study, the restoration of acid-eroded enamel surface morphology and anti-wear properties under two conditions, mono-remineralization (treated with remineralization alone) impact-remineralization cyclic impact followed by remineralization), are characterized to determine effect occlusal loading on remineralization. Compared mono-remineralized surface, impact-remineralized demonstrates better performance, as manifested a higher hardness elastic modulus, well lower friction coefficient wear volume. Loading eroded induces fragmentation hydroxyapatite nanoparticles, which aids crystal deposition fusion during subsequent summary, owing microstructure, can promote enhancing Remineralization enhancement through occlusal-loading-induced nanoparticle plays significant role preventing human teeth from excessive wear.
